- ACE Grant
Students taking their first steps to begin a career in cosmetology can apply for ACE Grants, which are sponsored by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS), the Beauty and Barber Supply Institute (BBSI), and the Cosmetology Advancement Foundation (CAF).
- AHBAI Scholarships
The Fred Luster, Sr. Education Foundation was established in 1991 and has awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships to date-all in honor of the late founding AHBAI board member Fred Luster, Sr.
- American Health & Beauty Aids Institute Esthetician Scholarships
The American Health and Beauty Aids Institute awards esthetician scholarships valued at $250 and $500 each.
- Jeannette Rankin Foundation
Low income women, age 35 and over, may qualify for scholarships from this foundation to pursue a technical or vocational education, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree at an accredited school. The L’Oreal Company pairs with Soft Sheen Carson every year to honor young achievers through a scholarship program. This particular program provides $10,500 scholarships for four years of college and/or the completion of a bachelor’s degree for African American young adults who have shown leadership potential.
- Maybelline
Every year, Maybelline pairs with Latina, a lifestyle, entertainment beauty and fashion site for Latinas, to offer the “Opportunities Through Education Scholarship Contest.”
- NCA & Sally Beauty to Offer Scholarships
The National Cosmetology Association has worked with Sally Beauty to offer $10,000 in scholarships since they started this program 13 years ago.
- NCEA Scholarship
The NCEA now works with AACS to provide the First Esthetician Scholarships, which are $1,000 awards, for promising NCA member students in AACS member schools.
- National Cosmetology Association
The National Cosmetology Association also offers $1,000 scholarships for high school grads entering the cosmetology profession and children or grandchildren of current members that are pursuing a college education.
